Corpses After Christmas

Corpses after Christmas

This project was born at the dawn of 2016 on the streets of Amsterdam.

These real  trees abandoned on the roadside were telling  a story themselves: once alive and in the spotlight  during the celebration of Christmas, soon after, are given the role of an old object, that doesn't serve any purpose and deserves to be thrown away.

During the festivity, those very same trees have been the pride of a human owner, but one moment later they loose all the magic, along with their utility. The new identity they assume the one of  trash (Huisvuil in Dutch).

We just forgot they are still alive.

All the pictures are analogic, shot with a Minolta film camera
